HFL works with many different customers across the world. In the UK samples are analysed from all forms of sporting competition through HFL's close working relationships with the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), the National Greyhound Racing Club (NGRC) and with UK Sport.

HFL has an extensive drug reference library enabling us to tackle complex analytical challenges and detect drug misuse in a variety of species and at low limits of detection.

Techniques
The laboratory is equipped with state of the art equipment and uses a combination of techniques including:

• Mass spectrometry
• Gas Chromatography
• Liquid Chromatography
• Immunoassay

We also provide data archiving, secure sample storage facilities and sample collection kits that provide tamper-evident security to aid chain of custody procedures.

Quality assurance
We operate a rigorous and extensive internal quality assurance programme, including quality control measurements as part of every test. In addition, our testing services are accredited and inspected to external standards, including ISO 17025. We also participate in independent proficiency testing schemes such as the WADA Proficiency and Educational Program. We can also provide data archiving, secure sample storage facilities and sample collection kits.
